The IW-VJ63 is the in-wall speaker in ELAC's Vertex III series, which uses the same technology and materials as ELAC's Vela speaker line. It is a 2-way design with ELAC's JET folded ribbon (Air Motion Transformer) tweeter in a deep spheroid waveguide and a 6-inch Crystal Membrane aluminum woofer. Sold each.
ELAC designed the Crystal Membrane woofer to be rigid yet light, so it keeps up with the speed of the JET tweeter, and the frequency response extends to 40,000 Hz. The Vertex III speakers share the same components across the series so they match sonically. The paintable magnetic metal grille covers a black baffle, and a cutout template and manual are included.
