The IC-VJT63 is the angled in-ceiling home theatre speaker in ELAC's Vertex III series, a 2-way, rear side open design pairing ELAC's JET folded ribbon tweeter with a 6-inch Crystal Membrane aluminum cone woofer behind a slim, paintable magnetic metal grille. ELAC says Vertex III combines the look of an architectural speaker with the performance and dynamics of its Vela series, using the same components throughout the series for a sonic match across the line. ELAC's JET folded Air Motion Transformer tweeter sits in a deep spheroid waveguide to improve directivity control and efficiency, and the Crystal Membrane aluminum woofer is designed to be rigid yet light so it keeps up with the JET. ELAC's manual describes the Vertex III in-ceiling models as suited to surround sound, to rooms where space is a consideration, or to bringing music into more rooms of the house.
