The IC-VT62 is the 6.5-inch angled in-ceiling home theatre speaker in ELAC's Vertex II series, a 2-way, rear side open design with a 1-inch cloth dome tweeter and a 6.5-inch aluminum cone woofer behind a slim, paintable magnetic metal grille. ELAC's manual says both the woofer and tweeter are mounted at a 30-degree angle so the sound can be better directed toward the listening area. Sold each.
ELAC says Vertex II uses the same technology and materials as its Reference speaker line, with the same components throughout the series for a sonic match across the line. ELAC chose the aluminum cone for its rigid, light weight, and the custom cloth dome tweeter for low mass and smooth, extended frequency response. ELAC's manual lists the finish as a black baffle with a white grille.
