The IC-VS6 is ELAC's Vertex passive in-ceiling subwoofer, designed to fit between standard ceiling joists. One 6.5-inch dual voice coil woofer sits in a bandpass enclosure that vents through a flexible port tube, and the port coupling ring lets the trim out match ELAC's IC-V31 speaker with a round or square grille, so the installation sits alongside small aperture ceiling lights. Sold each.
ELAC sonically matched the subwoofer to the IC-V31 for a balanced system, and says it can reinforce the low end of any speaker. The port tube is flexible enough for versatile installation but rigid enough to minimize the wind turbulence that causes port noise. It needs an external amplifier: ELAC's spec sheet shows wiring options for a dedicated subwoofer amplifier or a multi-zone amplifier on one or two channels, with the binding posts in parallel or series.
