The IW-V61 is the 6.5-inch in-wall speaker in ELAC's Vertex I series, part of ELAC's Integrator Series of custom products. It is a 2-way design with a custom 1-inch silk dome tweeter and a 6.5-inch polypropylene cone woofer, joined by a custom multi-element crossover with audio-grade components. Sold each.
ELAC chose polypropylene for the woofer for its internal damping and smooth high-frequency roll-off. The slim, paintable magnetic metal grille lets the speaker blend into the wall, and a cutout template and manual are included. ELAC designed the Vertex series to match and complement its bookshelf, floorstanding, on-wall and in-wall speakers.
