The IC-VT61 is the 6.5-inch angled in-ceiling home theatre speaker in ELAC's Vertex I series, a 2-way, rear side open design with a 1-inch soft dome tweeter and a 6.5-inch polypropylene cone woofer behind a slim, paintable magnetic metal grille. Both drivers are angled at 30 degrees, which ELAC designed for front, side and rear-channel placement in home theatre and surround-sound systems. Sold each.
ELAC developed the custom silk dome tweeter for low mass and smooth, extended high-frequency response, and joins the drivers with a custom multi-element crossover built with audio-grade components. ELAC lists the finish as a black baffle with a white grille, and says the Vertex series will complement conventional floorstanding or bookshelf speakers.
