The IC-V31 is the 3.8-inch straight in-ceiling speaker in ELAC's Vertex I series, a 2-way, rear side open design with a 3/4-inch soft dome tweeter and a 3.8-inch polypropylene cone woofer behind a slim, paintable magnetic metal grille. ELAC lists the finish as a black baffle with a white grille, and uses the same components throughout the Vertex I series so the speakers match sonically across the line. Sold each.
ELAC developed the custom silk dome tweeter for low mass and smooth, extended high-frequency response, and joins the drivers with a custom multi-element crossover built with audio-grade components. Optional square grille adapters match square lighting, and optional pre-construction brackets help with installation or ceiling-tile applications.
