Elac Alchemy AS-DPA2 Stereo/Mono Power Amplifier

The Alchemy DPA-2 is the power amplifier in ELAC's Alchemy Series. It pairs a fully discrete Class A FET input stage and fully balanced design with a high-efficiency Class D output stage, with a custom toroidal transformer and linear power supply feeding the input stage. Sold each.

It runs in stereo or mono. ELAC's product page rates it at up to 220 watts per channel into 8 ohms in stereo and up to 650 watts into 8 ohms in mono; the sell sheet gives 325 watts per channel into 4 ohms in stereo. Gain is selectable high or low to match the preamplifier, output power can be read on the LCD screen, and a 12 V trigger input and pass-through link it to other components.
